"The tech Jesse came out to check my A/C and informed me I needed a new one. My A/C was 19 years old, so no surprise. He showed me the inside of all the equipment. Their price was reasonable and there was no pressure to buy. They did a great job."

"Jesse visited our home and clearly laid out options to repair or replace our 20 year old HVAC systems. We chose replacement. The work was scheduled and completed in 1 day. They did a great job at a fair price. We would recommend them and will be using them again. Great Job!"

Know What You Are Looking At

Signs It Is Time to Replace Rather Than Repair

None of these on its own means you need a new system. Two or three together usually means replacement is worth pricing alongside the repair, and we will give you both numbers rather than only the one we would rather sell.

  • The system is past ten years oldLocal service life runs about ten to fifteen years here, shorter than the national figure because of runtime and salt exposure.
  • Two or more repairs in the last couple of seasonsRepair spend is starting to compound. At this point the money is better put toward equipment you are not going to keep fixing.
  • The house cools but stays humidOften an oversizing problem from the last installation. A correctly sized replacement fixes what a repair cannot.
  • Some rooms never keep up with the restUsually ductwork and airflow rather than the equipment, which is exactly the sort of thing a changeout is the right moment to correct.
  • Energy bills climbing season over seasonEfficiency loss from corroded coils, refrigerant loss, or equipment simply running past its useful life.
  • The system runs on a refrigerant that is being phased downRecharging gets more expensive every year, which changes the maths on keeping an older system going.
  • The compressor has failed and the unit is out of warrantyThe most expensive single component. Replacing it in an aging system is often most of the cost of replacing the system.
  • You are planning to stay in the propertyReplacement makes more sense the longer you will be there to get the benefit of it. If you are selling next year, that changes the answer.
  • The air handler is in a hot attic or garage with no insulationWorth addressing at changeout. Capacity lost between the equipment and the room is capacity you paid for and never received.

What a Proper Installation Includes

Where Installations Go Wrong, and What We Do Instead

Most of the difference between a system that performs for a decade and one that disappoints from the first summer is decided during the install, not on the equipment sticker. These are the steps that are easiest to skip and most expensive to skip.

Manual J Load Calculation

Sizing against the actual building: orientation, glazing, insulation, ceiling heights, infiltration and occupancy. Not square footage, and not matching whatever tonnage happened to be there before.

Ductwork and Static Pressure

Measuring static pressure and checking return sizing, duct condition and leakage before the new equipment goes on. High static pressure shortens the life of a brand new system exactly as it did the old one.

Correct Line Set and Charge

Evaluating whether the existing line set can be reused or must be replaced, proper evacuation, and charging to manufacturer specification verified by superheat and subcooling rather than by gauge pressure alone.

Condensate and Drainage

New drain line, correct trap and slope, secondary drainage and a working float switch. In this climate the drainage detail is what stops a new installation causing ceiling damage in year two.

Electrical and Pad Work

Disconnect, breaker sizing and whip condition checked against the new equipment, plus pad, clearance and hurricane tie-down so the condenser meets Florida anchoring requirements.

Permits, Inspection and Commissioning

Permit pulled, final inspection scheduled, warranty registered, and airflow and temperature split verified at the register before we leave. You get the readings, not just the invoice.

How We Work

What a Replacement Looks Like

From the first visit to the final inspection, five steps with a written number at the front and verified performance at the end.

1. Assessment Visit

We survey the building and the existing system, measure what is there, and talk through how the house actually behaves, including the rooms that never keep up.

2. Load Calculation and Options

Sizing calculated against the building, then equipment options priced separately so you can see what each tier buys you. Financing discussed if you want it.

3. Written Quote

Itemized and in writing, including any ductwork or electrical correction we are recommending and why. Nothing is ordered until you approve it.

4. Installation Day

Old equipment removed and disposed of, new system installed to code, permit pulled, property protected and the site left clean. Most residential changeouts finish in a day.

5. Commission and Register

Airflow and charge verified, thermostat configured, performance confirmed at the register, warranty registered, and inspection scheduled. We walk you through the system before we go.

Residential and Commercial

Systems We Install

What suits a block-built Port Charlotte single-storey is not what suits a converted lanai, a coastal condo or a small retail unit. We quote what the building calls for rather than one standard package, and we tell you where the cheaper option is genuinely fine.

Heat Pump SystemsThe default residential replacement in Southwest Florida. Cools all year and covers the few cold nights without a separate heating system, at very little extra cost over straight cool. Straight Cool with Electric HeatWhere a heat pump is not the right fit or the existing air handler configuration favours it. Still a valid choice, and we will say when it is. Variable Speed and Inverter SystemsLonger, gentler run cycles that pull far more humidity out of the air. Worth the step up in a house that currently feels cold and clammy. Ductless and Mini-SplitConverted garages and lanais, additions, guest suites, workshops and server rooms. Anywhere running new ductwork is impractical or not worth the cost. Air Handler ReplacementReplacing the indoor half where the condenser is sound, including coil, blower and cabinet, with the drainage and airflow corrected at the same time. Commercial and Rooftop UnitsPackaged rooftop equipment and light commercial splits, including load calculation, curb work, crane scheduling and inspection coordination. Ductwork Correction at ChangeoutReturn sizing, leakage sealing and static pressure correction while the system is open. Far cheaper now than as a separate job later. Thermostats and ZoningSmart thermostats, staging configured to the equipment, and zoning where one system is trying to serve rooms that behave very differently. Air Quality at InstallationFiltration, purification and dehumidification are cheapest to add during a changeout, when the system is already open and the air handler is accessible.

Not Ready to Replace?

Get It Diagnosed First

A replacement quote should never be the only option you are given. If your system has stopped or is not keeping up, we will diagnose the fault properly and price the repair alongside the replacement, so you are choosing between two real numbers rather than being sold one. Financing is available if replacement is the right call.

The Honest Version

What Each Tier Actually Buys You

Efficiency ratings are the headline on every quote, but in this climate the thing that changes how a house feels is how the system runs, not what its rating says. Here is the plain comparison, and where the extra spend is and is not worth it.

Guidance only. A load calculation and a site visit decide what actually suits the building.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT AC INSTALLATION

Signs that a system may need replacement include frequent breakdowns, rising energy bills, uneven cooling, loud compressor noise, or equipment that is more than 12 to 15 years old. When repair costs become frequent or major components fail, replacing the system may provide better long-term reliability and efficiency.

Yes. Modern high-efficiency air conditioning systems use advanced compressors, improved refrigerant technology, and better airflow management to reduce energy consumption. When properly sized and installed, newer systems can significantly lower cooling costs during Florida’s long summer season.

Yes. Many AC installations require municipal permits and inspections to ensure the system meets Florida mechanical and electrical codes. Professional HVAC contractors coordinate permit requirements and ensure installations pass inspection.

In many cases existing ductwork can be reused if it is properly sized and in good condition. During installation planning, technicians inspect ducts for leakage, airflow restrictions, and insulation condition to determine whether repairs or modifications are needed.

Yes. Modern air conditioning systems are designed to remove moisture while cooling the air. Properly sized equipment combined with balanced airflow helps maintain comfortable humidity levels inside the home.

Most residential installations are completed within one day. Larger properties or complex configurations may require additional time. Commercial projects vary depending on rooftop access and inspection coordination.
